Antoni Lis is one of the most compelling young percussionists of his generation, specialising in marimba, vibraphone and contemporary percussion. Born in Łódź, Poland, in 2009, he began his musical education at the age of five and has since developed a distinctive artistic profile that combines classical rigour, technical precision and genuine creative freedom. He currently studies at the H. Wieniawski Music School in Łódź, where he holds the highest grade in his principal subject – percussion – and consistently achieves academic distinction, completing each year with honours. His artistic range extends well beyond his principal instrument: he is also an accomplished pianist, a jazz improviser and a composer and arranger whose works are published through the international Hal Leonard “Arrange Me” platform.

His musical interests move fluently across classical repertoire, jazz, film music, folk and contemporary crossover forms. He performs solo, in chamber ensembles, in orchestra and in jazz combos. He has also demonstrated skils like transcripting music into scores. He was commissioned by internationally recognised Polish jazz violinist and composer Michał Urbaniak to prepare full jazz ensemble transcriptions of all eleven tracks from Urbaniak’s album “Serenade”.

In 2025, Antoni released his debut EP “Wonderful Sunday”. There are four original compositions for vibraphone, marimba, synthesisers and drums, featuring vocalist Joanna Pietrzyk. Sitting at the intersection of jazz, contemporary music and minimalism, the record is a self-released work of quiet confidence: melodically assured, atmospherically coherent and striking in its maturity for a fifteen-year-old composer and producer.
